🌱 One Tree for One Student Program at Chandipur High School
Empowering Students to Grow a Greener Tomorrow
As part of its steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship, Global Community Organization (GCO) recently conducted a meaningful and impactful Tree Distribution and Plantation Program at Chandipur High School under the banner of “One Tree for One Student.”
This initiative reflects GCO’s long-term vision of nurturing eco-conscious generations who actively engage in protecting our planet.
🌳 What We Did In this program, 300 trees—including fruit-bearing, timber, and medicinal species—were distributed among 142 students and teachers. These trees were not only handed over but were also planted within the school premises in a vibrant, collaborative effort by students and teachers alike.
This hands-on activity transformed the school grounds into a budding green space while instilling a deeper appreciation for nature among the young participants.
🌎 Why It Matters The objectives of the program were clear and powerful:
To foster a sense of environmental responsibility in students
To raise awareness about the pressing issue of climate change
To promote sustainable development by greening educational institutions
To offer practical learning experiences around environmental conservation
